I recently came across these ‘Conversations with Thomas Szasz’ and recommend watching/listening to them if you have an interest in debates about the field of psychiatry and the ethics of treatment. Being a big believer in consent over coercion and people’s right and responsibility to find their own facts, make their own decisions and accept the consequences of their actions, it’s great to hear from someone who had written and experienced so much. ‘The function of psychiatry’ and ‘The role of the State’ were ones I particularly found interesting.
